Summer Events in Northville, Michigan

We are proud to call Northville, Michigan, home. It’s a lovely community that has been good to us since we opened our doors in 1999.

Visitors to Deadwood Bar & Grill should not miss the surrounding area and all that it has to offer. Grab a hearty meal here, and then go enjoy our neighborhood! We are especially fond of the following Northville attractions:

Maybury Farm

Looking for a hands-on afternoon of educational animal experiences? Head straight to Maybury Farm, run by the Northville Community Foundation. Maybury Farm offers one-day events, like Farm Fest, to be held Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 10 am to 5 pm, and Country Fair, to be held Saturday, August 12 from 10 am to 5 pm, as well as ongoing summer camps for kids. Maybury Farm also welcomes visitors, Tuesday through Sunday, from April through October, with a number of ongoing programming like wagon rides and story time.

Maybury State Park

Just a few miles down the road from Deadwood, Maybury State Park is a treasure trove for outdoorsy folks with 1000 acres of rolling terrain. Use the extensive trail system for hiking, biking or horseback riding.

Northville Independence Day Parade

Kicking off at 10 am in downtown Northville, we love celebrating our nation’s birthday in our quaint hometown. The Northville Independence Day Parade features bands, floats, thousands of spectactors, antique cars and more.

Summer Concert Series

Every Friday and Saturday evening, enjoy live music from local and regional acts that span genres from big band to soul music.

Movie in the Park

With dusk falling so late during Michigan summers, there’s plenty of time to enjoy a meal at Deadwood before hunkering down for a movie under the stars at Ford Field (151 Griswold Street, Northville, MI). Showtimes currently scheduled for Friday, June 9 (The Lion King), and Friday, July 7 (Minions: The Rise of Gru).

Buy Michigan Now Festival

We love supporting local, so this festival tops our list of must-visit summer events in Northville. Running August 4-6, 2023, the Buy Michigan Now Festival is in its 12th year, and it features Michigan-made food, goods, art and more.

Northville Victorian Heritage Festival

While this annual festival technically takes place the first weekend in the fall, we’re including it in the summer roundup because it’s one of our city’s biggest events. September 22-24, 2023, the weekend-long festival celebrates the area’s outstanding Victorian-era architecture and charm. Plus, it features live music, performances, Victorian-era reenactors, vendors, and more.
